Vodka Gimlet

20140318_111527 I’m baaack! I have discovered that life can disrupt my blogging routine, as evidenced by the dearth of posts in the last several weeks.  I’ve been thinking about what to write but those words have not magically transported themselves from my mind into blog posts!

My most recent knitting journey took me on a wonderful trip into the world of organic yarn from Green Mountain Spinnery with minimal processing and no chemicals or dyes.  Creamy white and brown fleeces are combined to create the color.  I just think that is so very cool!  The smell of this wool is heavenly and the feel is what I like to call rustic.  I loved knitting with this wool that’s practically straight off the sheep!

This type of yarn definitely has specific uses.  It holds its shape and is sturdy so it would be a disaster for a lovely, drapey lace shawl.  You could use their Alpaca Elegance for that.  However, it was perfect for my Vodka Gimlet cardigan by Baby Cocktails!  This sweater knit up so quickly I could hardly believe it.  I wore it for the first time yesterday and I love, love, love it!  I will get some better pictures and post them later but for now these are what I have.

In case you’re wondering, of course I celebrated my finished sweater with Vodka Gimlets with my sister and niece!

Also, to get a really good look at the sweater details, be sure to click on the photos!  I sometimes forget to do that……

  3. Thanks for your text. I would also like to say that the health insurance dealer also utilizes the benefit of the particular coordinators of any group insurance policy. The health insurance professional is given a summary of benefits sought by someone or a group coordinator. Such a broker can is seek out individuals and also coordinators which in turn best complement those desires. Then he provides his ideas and if both parties agree, the broker formulates a legal contract between the 2 parties.

  4. I believe that avoiding ready-made foods may be the first step to lose weight. They can taste very good, but packaged foods include very little vitamins and minerals, making you feed on more to have enough vigor to get with the day. If you are constantly feeding on these foods, transferring to whole grains and other complex carbohydrates will assist you to have more vitality while ingesting less. Good blog post.

  6. Alfie, you’re right about this being a failure of US power, I’m afraid.  Yet another Obamessiah fail on the international stage. The Olympics, Russian missiles, China, Libya, Iran, the list goes on.  The only thing He seems to have actually accomplished in foreign policy is the killing in cold blood of a bunch of Mohammedans – including a US citizen or two – via remote-controlled drone hits without due process of law. How’s that Hopey-Changey stuff working’ out for ya, BBC?   0 likes
